BEJSC will be the main day-to-day user, alongside structured use by local schools, a baby swim provider and other community groups.
Find out moreFounded in 1970, Bourne End Junior Sports Club is a registered charity run by volunteers, providing sport and recreation for children and young people. BEJSC is entirely self-funded and recognised as a successful, prestigious and unique centre.
The multi-sport centre, built in 1982 and extended in 1997, is used extensively by club members and the wider community, offering eight different sports to members aged from 5 to 18+, with membership numbers currently over 500.
The swim section currently relies on use of Wycombe Leisure Centre, with timetable constraints limiting pool time. BEJSC is working to build its own swimming pool to complete 50 years of delivering sport for all.
Formulate design concepts and prepare documents for the planning pre-application.
Submit pre-application documents and address feedback from the case officer.
Prepare and submit a full planning application with supporting documentation.
Obtain planning permission, or revise and resubmit the application.
Prepare building regulation details, tender packages and appoint contractors.
Hand over the site, monitor construction, commission the building and complete final certification.

Monthly progress meetings are held with the project board. Whilst not yet open to the public, questions can be submitted via the comments form or by email.
